Wisdom consists in doing the next thing you have to do, doing it with your whole heart, and finding delight in doing it.
Gratefulness is the state the heart craves most. From that state, we can do what the mind craves most: achieving things, living well in this physical world, on top of living well in the heart.
It’s a perennial question: are we saved by faith or works?
It can’t hurt to try both.
Saturate yourself in grateful faith, and then ask that faith: “What’s next?” You’ll probably immediately realize 10 things you’ve been putting off that you could get started on to improve life. The eye of love constantly makes all things more beautiful than they currently are.
Don’t worry about saving the world; just do the next obvious thing. It might just be the dishes. Learn to delight in the simple tasks of well-being, and the big tasks will be revealed to you later. |
